I LOVE THIS EPISODE!! I don't side with murderers but he really represent a true artist who thinks of paintings as his own children.

I really like the art style of this episode except for the fact that I COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING. I would love to be able to see this show without having to turn my brightness up to 100% please and thank you.

Ran threatening Conan and Kogoro into coming to the museum with her. You get 'em girl!!

Why was Conan the only one who didn't flinch when watching that video (in a room with many police officers mind you). And the way that he lied to those police so he could watch a video of a guy being killed. There is something wrong with that little mind of his!

I think Conan deserves an oscar for that last scene there. It was nice to have someone recognize Conan's abilities too.

Detective boys cameo at the end. Genta was really like why did Conan get to see a dead body and not us, no fair!!

Well this episode was released in 1996, it's good for it's period actually. Character designs are not lazy (hint Brock from Pokemon, 1997 ;))

Yeah I know

I always love when the show reminds you that Mori isn't an inept detective, he's perfectly capable of solving crimes himself and can even figure out the mystery when given just a few hints, he's just a bit too arrogant/wrongheaded to come to the right conclusion a lot of the times.

damn the early detective conan episodes were really on a different level of dark... on a happier note though, the art style in this ep is super cute! I love when Ran used to be a tiny bit violent in the beginning, I loved her character. Nowadays she just seems...kind. She's nice, but usually doesn't do much else

Today's anime have become more "family-friendly". This is the reason why "incesty-themed" animes are rising in popularity. 🤣

this episode is so good and well-elaborated, the plot is well thought out and i like how they included the painting's story in the case being inside an art museum, this is my favourite episode so far.
